WalMart Rant

Posted in Gripes and Complaints, True Life Adventures at 11:06 pm by radar2000

Ok, I can see why stores have return policies, but what I can’t see is why they only apply to certain people.  For example, I went there today to return a book that was Bought on Saturday. I had my reciept,  and the book was very obviously unread.  Now they would not return the book, for the reason that it might be read.  I can understand this.  However I have seen them reurn a piece of furniture that was covered with rat droppings, and spider eggs.  The customers were very honest and said that they had bought the furniture almost six months before that.  Now am I wrong, or does Walmart have a 60 day return policy?  The associate in the furniture depart came up and said he would not be able to take it back, however the store manager forced him to.  Now, the store has lost money due to the manager’s decision, and they are stuck with an unsellable futon.  So let’s review, you can return furniture that was bought in the 60’s, but not a book with an unbroken spine?  Hmmm.  Something seems wrong there.

Not only will they take back used furniture, but they’ll also take back shampoo that you’ve already used! Now I’m wondering what they do with underwear!

I believe they use it to clean the bathrooms with. The Maintainence people are already overworked, and they, much like the Stockmen are expected to do the jobs of about 3 people.
